State of the New Space Economy

1) Japan back in the cockpit:

After a high-profile explosion last year (that’s right - it’s 2024 now, in case you forgot), Japan is readying to return its heavy H3 rocket to flight after nearly a year since its previous failure. Launched by JAXA, the Japanese space agency, the first launch failed to ignite its second stage on ascent, causing the flight termination system to activate and destroy the rocket.
